Gifts for Nursing Home Residents

Giving a gift to a nursing home resident will require consideration for very limited space. We recently purchase a carved hymn music box for a nursing home resident and it has been a nice but homey addition to the room. These carved wooden tablets are small and contain the music score and words to several well known hymns. The music box easily plays the tune. Choose from several hymns. These small music boxes are 7.25 inches x 5.5 inches. They have a peg stand for setting on a shelf or table.

Another gift idea is a tapestry throw. These are great for warmth and a the colors and designs available are cheerful and bright. You can find designs that are rustic and are great for men, especially if they have been outdoorsmen and you can find some lovely feminine designs with flowers, cats, shells and inspirational designs for anyone. Many of these designs come with matching pillows. What veteran wouldn't like this Soldier's Psalm throw from Snugglebug Pillows and Throws. Snugglebug has a wonderful selection of throws and decorative throw pillows. The Autumn Haven tapestry throw would be a nice gift for any outdoorsman and can be found at Lights in the Northern Sky, a wonderful source for western decor and cabin decor. The teddy bear tapestry throw is sure to be an appreciated gift and can be found at The Weathered Gate where you will find other country decor and shabby shic.

Add a splash of cheerful color with these beautiful stained glass suncatchers that can be hung with clear suction cups from windows. These sparkling designs are inspirational and cheerful and come from American Christian Gift where you will find many choices for Christian gifts and inspirational gifts.
